SC Chief Justice Gesmundo to administer oath of office to Marcos

SUPREME Court Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo will administer the oath of office of President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. as the country’s 17th president, according to his incoming Executive Secretary Atty. Vic Rodriguez.

In a short message, Rodriguez said that they will follow tradition wherein the Supreme Court Chief Justice will administer the oath of the incoming president.

Rodriguez added that the oath-taking of Marcos Jr. will be done outdoors to give the public the opportunity to witness the event.

The National Museum building was originally known as the “Old Legislative Building” and was also the same site where former Philippine Presidents Manuel L. Quezon, Jose P. Laurel, and Manuel Roxas took their oath of office.
