JUST when other sources hinted on a spike in the lucrative illegal drug trade in view of the holiday season, comes a top Palace official who says otherwise.
In a Facebook post, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said that the government is actually winning its war against illegal drugs even as he claimed that an estimated half of the country’s 42,000 bnarangay units have already been declared as ‘drug-free’.
He further assured the public that the remaining half of what was left of the barangays in the country would soon be declared drug-free before President Rodrigo Duterte steps down in 2022.
