“Our prioritization criteria naman is based on risk of exposure and risk of death. So we follow that–pregnant na medical frontliner, pregnant na senior, pregnant na may co-morbidity, etc. Again, basta may clearance ng doctor,” ayon pa sa DOH.

“We follow the contraindications written in the EUA (Emergency Use Authorization) to determine who should not receive the vaccines. The vaccines we have are not contraindicated for pregnant women. Pregnant women may be vaccinated as long as cleared by their physicians,” pahayag pa ng DOH.

“In case a pregnant woman has an unavoidable risk high of exposure (e.g., a health worker), vaccination may be considered in discussion with their health-care provider.” pahayag ng  WHO sa kanilang website.

“If a breastfeeding woman is part of a group (e.g., health workers) recommended for vaccination, vaccination can be offered. WHO does not recommend discontinuing breastfeeding after vaccination,” sinabi  pa ng WHO.
