The Kaya Natin! Movement for Good Governance and Ethical Leadership proudly announces its new leadership team, officially taking the helm effective today, August 1, 2025.
This transition marks an exciting new chapter for the organization as it continues to champion transparency, accountability, and citizen empowerment across the country.
Heading the Movement as Chairperson is Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, a trailblazing local executive renowned for her progressive policies and inclusive governance.
Mayor Belmonte has led numerous transformative initiatives focused on social welfare, innovation, and urban development. Her leadership style, deeply rooted in compassion and service, reflects the very essence of Kaya Natin!’s mission to foster ethical and people-centered governance.
Joining her is Atty. Arnel Casanova, who assumes the role of Co-Chairperson. A respected lawyer and former CEO and President of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), Atty. Casanova is known for his strong advocacy for transparency, accountability, and sustainable development. His experience in both the public and private sectors adds strategic depth to the Movement’s leadership, as it broadens its impact nationwide.
The organization also welcomes Dr. Lugie Lipumano-Garcia as its new Executive Director. A dedicated public health champion and former Olongapo City Councilor, Dr. Lipumano-Garcia brings with her a wealth of experience in both healthcare and grassroots governance.
Her vision, integrity, and deep commitment to community-based solutions will play a pivotal role in strengthening the Movement’s programs and expanding its reach across sectors.
Kaya Natin! also takes this opportunity to express heartfelt gratitude to former Chairperson Senator Bam Aquino, who served the organization with distinction from 2017 to 2025. Under his stewardship, Kaya Natin! significantly expanded its programs and influence, fostering a new generation of leaders across the country.
The Movement is pleased to share that Senator Aquino will remain an active member of the Board, continuing to lend his insights and experience.
