A JRS Express employee who lost his motorcycle in a road accident has received an unexpected replacement after winning the grand prize in a promotional raffle organized by SB Finance for users of its eSALAD salary-linked loan program.
Jenovem Cruz, who has worked for JRS Express for three years, won a brand-new Honda BeAT motorcycle in the raffle, which was held on July 24, 2026. Ten other JRS Express employees each received PHP 2,000 worth of Universal Giftaway vouchers.
The promotion was launched following JRS Express’ partnership with SB Finance, which began in 2025 and made the eSALAD credit facility available to nearly 2,500 employees. Workers who availed themselves of their eSALAD credit limits became eligible to participate in the raffle.
For Cruz, the motorcycle came at an opportune time. Months before the draw, his previous motorcycle was severely damaged in a road accident involving another motorist. Cruz said he did not receive compensation for the damage and had since relied on a motorcycle borrowed from his office to commute to and from work.
“Hindi ko po talaga inaasahan na mananalo ako. Malaking tulong po ito sa akin, lalo na’t wala na akong sariling motor dahil sa aksidente. Ngayon, hindi ko na kailangang manghiram para makapasok sa trabaho,” Cruz said.
Cruz had also used his eSALAD loan to cover personal expenses related to the accident and help support the daily needs of his wife and young child. Repayments are automatically deducted from his salary under the program.
SB Finance Head of Corporate Employee Loan Jas Gaa said the company welcomed the opportunity to provide additional support to JRS Express employees through the partnership.

The eSALAD program provides employees of accredited partner companies access to salary-linked financing, with loan repayments made through payroll deductions. SB Finance said the arrangement is intended to make formal credit more accessible to employees while encouraging structured repayment.

SB Finance also conducts financial wellness seminars, employee activities and promotional campaigns as part of its partnerships with companies nationwide.
The lender said it plans to continue expanding its eSALAD network and working with employers to provide financing and financial wellness programs for their employees.
