Fourth batch of seafarers affected by the Russian-Ukraine conflict arrive in the PH

A FOURTH batch of Filipino seafarers caught in the middle of the Russia-Ukraine war arrived in the Philippines.

According to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), this latest batch of arrivals composed of 54 Filipino seafarers evacuated from Ukraine were from the ships MV Bolten Ithaki, MV Ithaca Prospect, MV Polar Star and MV Riva Wind.

At present, a total of 247 Filipino seafarers have been successfully repatriated by the government from Ukraine.

Since the conflict between Russia and Ukraine started, around 23 ships are already being monitored by the DFA.
