Department heads, J.O. employees in Manila city government to undergo performance evaluation

DEPARTMENT heads and Job Order (J.O.) employees in the city government of Manila are set to face performance evaluation according to the city’s new chief executive, who conducted an inspection at the Manila City Hall on her first day of official duty.

A few department heads may risk losing their posts under the city government’s new leader, Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan.

There will also be changes even in the case of J.O. employees.

However, Lacuna-Pangan did not mention specifically during her inspection of all departments at the Manila City Hall which department heads may be replaced or retained. She likewise assured that the department heads’ performance will be thoroughly reviewed.

She explained further that this is something that is done every time there is a change in the city government administration.

“It really depends. I always say to those who serve in the city government, everything will depend on their performance. Everyone will undergo evaluation, even us elected officials, it will depend on our performance,” adds Lacuna-Pangan, the city’s first female mayor.

For now, Lacuna-Pangan said they will finalize everything and will correspondingly issue a memo.
