Sterling Bank of Asia grants P370-million credit facility to top fintech firm

AS part of its goal to empower fintech companies in the Philippines, Sterling Bank of Asia (SBA), a leading thrift bank in the Philippines that is dedicated to providing accessible and innovative banking solutions to individuals, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), and corporate clients, has granted a Php 370-million credit facility to Skyro, one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in the country that specializes in financial lending services.

This strategic partnership aims to support Skyro’s expansion and enhance its ability to provide seamless digital lending services to consumers nationwide.

The partnership between the two firms, a strategic collaboration that aims to contribute to economic growth and financial inclusivity in the Philippines, was solidified recently through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the grant of the multi-million-peso credit facility.

The Php 370 million credit line will enable Skyro to scale its operations, expand its digital lending infrastructure, and strengthen its capabilities. This funding will accelerate Skyro’s mission of providing fast and accessible financial lending solutions to underserved communities.
