Three Weather Systems to bring rain across the Philippines, says Pagasa

THE Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) announced on Monday that three weather systems are expected to bring rain to most parts of the country.

Weather specialist Rhea Torres explained that the shear line, where warm and cold air masses converge, is causing cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms in areas such as the Bicol Region, Marinduque, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, Batangas, Laguna, Rizal, Quezon, and Aurora.

Meanwhile, the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) is influencing weather patterns in Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan, resulting in scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms.

The northeast monsoon, or amihan, will bring light rains to the Ilocos Region and parts of Central Luzon. For Metro Manila and other regions, localized thunderstorms will lead to partly cloudy to overcast skies with occasional downpours.

Pagasa continues to advise residents in affected areas to prepare for possible heavy rain and localized flooding.
