POLICE operatives from the Taguig City Police Station 6 collared two drug suspects carrying P9.1-million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu as they were strictly enforcing minimum public health and safety standards in the area.
Nabbed were drug suspects identified as Jemboy Pascual y Kasim and Eskak Kamsa y Ambayanan, who were both arrested by Taguig City Police Station 6 personnel, led by PMaj. Crisanto Agualin.
The police were in the area conducting Oplan Galugad when they spotted the two men not wearing face masks.
When the policemen reminded the two men to wear face masks, the suspects suddenly ran away to the surprise of the police personnel who then went after them.
When the Taguig City cops caught the suspects, they immediately discovered that the two were carrying 27 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing 1.350 kilograms of suspected shabu worth PHP9,180,000. They also had with them PHP10,000 cash and a weighing scale.
Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, Police General Guillermo Eleazar, lauded the Taguig City policemen for the arrest of the two drug suspects.
“I commend the Taguig City Police for confiscating and removing this huge volume of illegal drugs from the streets. Nakita ko rin na ginagawa nila ang kanilang tungkulin sa pagroronda na nagbunga sa pagkakaaresto ng dalawang suspek,” PGen. Eleazar said.
The suspects were brought to the Taguig City Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit for proper investigation and disposition where they will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 at the City Prosecutor’s Office.
