IN view of the heavy rains that brought high floodwaters to the town of Dinalupihan in the province of Bataan, relief packs were immediately sent by concerned entities to help those badly affected.
Early respondents SM Foundation Inc. and SM Supermalls, in coordination with SM Markets, turned over Operation Tulong Express (OPTE) relief packs to Dinalupihan on Saturday.

The Kalinga packs consist of bottled mineral water, rice, ready-to-eat meals and instant noodles.
Dinalupihan Mayor Maria Angela “Gila” Garcia and Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD) head Ofel Mendoza personally received the donation.
The municipality was placed under state of calamity due to the onslaught of southwest monsoon rains last Thursday that left more villages in the town in deep floodwaters.
Also present were SM City Bataan Asst. Mall Manager Jhoan Gatdula, Public Relations Manager Nette Mortel, Building Administration Officer Jessa Blanco and a Savemore Dinalupihan representative.
Mayor Garcia expressed her gratitude to SM Foundation and SM Supermalls for the support they extended to her fellow Bataenos.
