QUEZON City Police District (QCPD) Acting District Director, PCOL Melecio M. Buslig, Jr., proudly announced the arrest of 85 individuals during the district’s intensified anti-criminality operations conducted from December 29, 2024, to January 4, 2025. These efforts underscore QCPD’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of QCitizens.
Key Achievements
Anti-Illegal Drugs Campaign:
The QCPD conducted 23 operations against illegal drugs, resulting in the arrest of 29 drug personalities. Confiscated during these operations were Php672,724.00 worth of shabu.
Crackdown on Illegal Gambling:
Thirteen operations against illegal gambling led to the apprehension of 29 individuals and the confiscation of Php10,116.00 in bet money.
Arrest of Wanted Persons:
The QCPD successfully captured 23 fugitives, including 12 Most Wanted Persons and 11 Other Wanted Persons, through its intensified manhunt operations.
Campaign Against Loose Firearms:
Four operations targeting loose firearms resulted in the recovery of four weapons and the arrest of four violators.
PCOL Buslig, Jr. lauded the dedication and perseverance of QCPD personnel in achieving these milestones. He reassured the public of the district’s unwavering commitment to combatting all forms of criminality.
“Asahan po ng publiko na magiging masigasig ang kapulisan ng Kyusi sa pagpapatupad ng operasyon laban sa lahat ng uri ng kriminalidad upang matiyak na ligtas ang ating mamamayan sa kanilang pang-araw-araw na gawain,” he stated.
