POWER failure forced a limited stoppage of service of LRT 1, which happened around 1:40 p.m. today at the Baclaran station in Pasay City.
This forced the Light Rail Management Corp. (LRMC), private operator of LRT-1, to impose limited service as LRT-1 personnel conducted a full assessment and necessary site repairs.
With the limited service, trains will only run from Roosevelt to Vito Cruz (southbound), and Gil Puyat to Roosevelt (northbound) as part of regular service protocols.
LRMC also apologized to commuters for the inconvenience caused by this incident and requested for passengers’ understanding. “Rest assured that our team is working fast to resolve this issue and safely resume normal operations. Kindly follow our official accounts for further updates,” LRMC said in a statement.
