MEMBERS of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and Maguindanao Police stormed the house of former Buluan, Maguindanao Mayor Ebrahim Mangundadatu to serve an arrest warrant.
According to Police Col. Jibin Bongcayao, Maguindanao Police Provincial Director, the serving of the arrest warrant happened at 5:30 a.m. today.
Mangundadatu is being pursued since he is wanted for a case of double murder.
The former mayor is also a prime suspect in the murder of his grandfather Sanday Ali and driver more than 20 years ago.
Unfortunately, Mangundadatu was nowhere to be found when the police arrived and failed to serve the warrant.
Police operations are ongoing for his immediate arrest.
