A HIGH-VALUE drug suspect was nabbed by joint elements of the Tagbilaran City Police Drug Enforcement Team and SWAT, Tagbilaran City Police Office (CPO) of the Bohol Provincial Police Office, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 7 in Tagbilaran City.
Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar identified the suspect as Palawan Macaorog y Disamborong (Watchlist, HVI ), 51 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Taloto, Tagbilaran City.
According to reports from Police Brigadier General Ronnie Montejo, PNP Regional Office 7 Regional Director, Eleazar said that Macaorog was arrested on June 3, 2021 at CPG North Ave., Muslim Village, P 6, Brgy. Taloto, Tagbilaran City by virtue of Search Warrant No. 2021-21 for violation of RA 9165 implemented by the said joint elements of PNP and PDEA.
Authorities seized suspected shabu with estimated weight of 150 grams and with Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P1,020,000 from the suspect. It was then brought to the Bohol Provincial Crime Laboratory for examination while Macaorog is now under the custody of Tagbilaran City Police Station and will be charged accordingly.
“The Philippine National Police will continue to strengthen its operational capacity to step-up the campaign against illegal drugs in the country under our Intensified Cleanliness Policy. We will never lower our guard against the drug syndicates, rather we will reinforce our coordination with our partner agencies especially with the PDEA that has been at the forefront of this war on drugs,” Eleazar said.
