THE Philippine National Police-Civil Security Group (PNP-CSG) held its 41st founding anniversary with this year’s theme: “Unity and Resiliency toward Responsive Regulatory Services Amidst Pandemic: Team ONO, Team CSG” on October 10, 2021 at Camp Crame, Quezon City.

The event, which was graced by PNP Chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar, also marked the formal inauguration of the newly-renovated CSG Building.

The refurbished edifice aims to provide more convenient facility in bringing quality services to the PNP, stakeholders and clients.

I commend the men and women of CSG under the leadership of Police Major General Ferdinand Daway for your innovative programs geared to improve the systems and facilities of this unit’s frontline services. Amidst the uphill battle of the country against the worldwide outbreak of COVID 19 pandemic, you were able to implement unprecedented policies, programs and crucial interventions to efficiently and effectively administer regulatory services on firearms, explosives and private security industry that greatly contributed to the attainment of an excellent public order, safety and security services in the country,” PGen Eleazar said.

The ceremony also underscored the presentation of awards to outstanding personnel of the CSG for exemplary performance in the unit’s successful attainment of both administrative and operational functions and stakeholders. PGen Eleazar extended his grateful appreciation for their unparalleled support to the attainment of the mission and vision of CSG and the entire PNP.

We must, at all times, give premium to excellence and integrity and reject mediocrity as well as dishonesty. By having a leadership that will stand firm with integrity and accountability, the battle against corrupt practices and red-tape can be won. These are what I have in mind when I launched the Intensified Cleanliness Policy in order to transform our PNP to a reliable, trustworthy and professional organization that serve as a key towards our end goal of winning the hearts and minds of the Filipino people,” PGen Eleazar said.

May this proud 41st legacy inspire all of you to work even more with dedication and perseverance, worthy of the faith and confidence entrusted upon you by the PNP Leadership, the Filipino people and our beloved country and as you live up with the CSG core values: Client-friendly, Service-oriented, and God-fearing personnel,” PGen Eleazar added.

Established in 1980, the CSG is the PNP’s office in charge of administrative and operational control in the regulation of firearms, explosives, and private security industries.
