A TOTAL of only more than 9,000 ballots were received by the Reception and Custody Unit (RCU) of the Committee on Local Absentee Voting (LAV) of the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
This is out of over 84,000 approved voters who were allowed to vote ahead of the May 90 polls since these voters will serve on the actual day of the elections on May 9, 2022. 0
About 9,105 ballots were received by the RCU of the Comelec Committee on LAV that came in at around 4 pm yesterday.
Majority of which came from the Philippine National Police (PNP) with 3,929, followed by the Philippine Air Force with 1,731 ballots and 926 from the Philippine Army.
However, based on the initial count of ballots, this is still lower compared to the more than 34,000 local absentee voters from the Army, 4,217 from the Air Force and 47,021 from the PNP.
Media registered the highest turnout wherein 809 ballots were received out of the 957 LAVs.
