THE Department of Health (DOH) said that the occupancy rate in ICU and isolation beds for COVID-19 patients in the National Capital Region (NCR) went down slightly.
Based on DOH data, occupancy rate of ICU beds went down by one percent and is now at 23 percent, or about 276 bed from the total 1,200-bed allotment.
On the other hand, isolation bed occupancy likewise went down by one percent and is now at 19 percent or 855 from the total 4,500 beds.
Meanwhile, the DOH noted an increase of one percent in the occupancy rate among ward beds in the NCR to 18 percent, or equal to 666 from the overall 3,700 beds.
Overall, 1,797 beds are now occupied in the region.
The DOH continues to remind the public to follow health protocols to prevent a spike in the number of COVID-19 cases.
