THE Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) approved today the ten-point policy agenda for economic recovery laid out by the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA).
Also, all government agencies, including local government units (LGUs), were ordered to ensure that all their policies, guidelines, measures and programs are all aligned to the ten-point policy agenda.
Included in the ten-point policy agenda on economic recovery are the continued use of metrics in the assignment of alert level system in the country; continuous vaccination; solid healthcare capacity; opning of the economy and mobility; opening of classes in schools; a vibrant domestic and international travel industry; digital transformation; pandemic flexibility bill; and medium-term preparation for pandemic resilience.
Related to this, the NEDA assured that they will monitor the compliance of government agencies to the ten-point policy agenda on economic recovery and will provide a periodic report to President Rodrigo Duterte via the Office of the Executive Secretary.
Meanwhile, based on the recommendation of the Sub-technical Working Group on Data Analytics, the IATF said that all work places should continue to submit their report on COVID-19 cases to their respective local Epidemiology and Surveillance Units while awaiting for the completion of the pilot implementation of the sentinel surveillance systems.
