THE Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases announced that arriving Filipino travelers from overseas who contracted and recovered from COVID-19 but tested positive in required pre-departure RT-PCR test will be allowed to enter the country.

Acting Presidential spokesperson and Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said Filipino international travelers only need to present a medical certificate issued by a licensed physician.

According to Nograles, the medical certificate should state that the Filipino traveler was able to complete the mandatory isolation period.

The medical certificate should also mention that the individual will not be able to transmit the disease anymore and is already fit to travel.

Nograles said the positive RT-PCR test should be done earlier than 10 days but not more than 30 days.

Lastly, the Filipino traveler should undergo facility-based quarantine upon arrival in the country.
