MAS malaki pa umano sa projection o tinatayang halaga ang itinaas na kinita ng gobyerno para nuong nakaraang taon mula sa ipinatutupad na tax reform programs.
Batay sa datos na ipinalabas ng Department of Finance (DOF), naka-kolekta ang gobyerno ng kabuuang P228.6 billion mula sa Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law, Tax Amnesty Act, at Sin Tax Reform laws.
Ang P171.1 bilyon na kinita sa TRAIN Law ay mas mataas ng 8.3% sa target na P157.9 billion, habang sa sin tax measures ay kumita ng P52.9 billion o 22.7% mas mataas sa target na P43.1 billion; at ang tax amnesty nagbigay ng P4.6 bilyong kita sa pamahalaan.
Sa kabuuan, ang 2021 tax collection target ay 13.7% mas mataas umano sa tinatayang revenue dahil sa tax reform measures.
“The passage and implementation of these tax reform laws, along with the subsequent Corporate Recovery and Tax Incentives for Enterprises (CREATE) Act, make President Duterte’s (comprehensive tax reform program) almost 90% complete,” ayon sa DOF.
