FWD launches from wellness to recovery protection plan

Multinational insurance company FWD Group launches the FWD Vibrant Critical Illness Plan in the Philippines to ensure that one’s life is made up of moments that bring joy and fewer worries. This insurance product promises plan holders a complete health protection as they are covered from screening and treatment to recovery.

According to health experts, people under 50 years of age and are in good health are supposed to undergo a health screening once every three (03) years. According to FWD Philippines, the FWD Vibrant Critical Illness Plan includes a cash incentive that earns the plan holder a 0.2% equivalent of their benefit amount every two (02) years starting on the second policy year. This cash incentive is intended to be spent on medical tests and checkups for one to monitor their health and wellbeing up to their 10th policy year.

The company believes that with more protection, their plan holders can focus more on getting back into shape as this financial product offer covers up to 57 critical illnesses — cancer-related sicknesses, non-cancer sicknesses, heart attack, and stroke.

With more protection, you can focus on getting back into shape. This plan offers up to 6x claims for 57 critical illnesses (3x times for cancer-related sicknesses, 3x for non-cancer sicknesses, including three times for heart attack and stroke), plus 25% of the benefit amount up to a maximum of PHP1,000,000 if diagnosed with a covered minor critical illness.

A 2019 Pulse Asia Survey published on the Department of Health’s website reveals that 99% of Filipinos do not buy all their prescription medications because they find medicines expensive. Fortunately, FWD’s Vibrant Critical Illness Plan has a Health Supplement Benefit that gives you 2% of your benefit amount (that’s the amount you were covered for) every month for six months upon your first major critical illness claim to help you with your recovery.
