A 40-YEAR-OLD man was killed in a shooting incident that transpired in Barangay San Ramon, Dinalupihan, Bataan, Friday morning.
According to a report from Police Lt. Col. Emelito Dela Cruz, Dinalupihan Police Chief, the victim was identified as Revani Paule, married, jobless, and a resident of Brgy. San Benito, Dinalupihan, Bataan.
Initial investigation from the Philippine National Police (PNP) revealed that at around 10:10 a.m. of June 25, 2021, a concerned citizen reported the incident through the municipality’s cellphone hotline and immediately, the duty investigator, together with Lt. Col. Dela Cruz, proceeded to the crime scene and found the lifeless body of the victim.
Reports stated that while inside the vacant lot owned by his uncle, an unidentified male suspect armed with Cal. 45 pistol entered the lot and shot the victim several times then immediately fled to an unknown direction.
Paule sustained gunshot wounds on different parts of his body which caused his instant death. PNP verification showed that the victim was a former drug reformist and has undergone rehabilitation at the Bataan Drug Rehabilitation Center in Pilar, Bataan.
Chief Dela Cruz said the case is still under investigation.
