A CEBU Pacific flight had a slight runway incursion upon landing at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) this morning, which caused the delay of some international and domestic flights.
In an advisory, the Philippine Airlines (PAL) said among their flights that experienced delays in landing at the NAIA were Flight PR720 Manila – London, PR5682 Manila – Dammam, PR658 Manila – Dubai and PR684 Manila – Doha.
A couple of PAL’s domestic flights were likewise diverted to the Clark International Airport, including PR592 Saigon – Manila, PR2522 Cagayan de Oro – Manila, and PR2142 Iloilo – Manila.
As of 1:30 pm, it was learned that eight more domestic flights of PAL were also delayed, such as their flights heading to Cebu, Davao, Tagbilaran, Cagayan and Cotabato.
Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines Spokesman Eric Apolonio confirmed that as of 1:33pm, the NAIA runway was opened after the Cebu Pacific plane that caused the delays were removed from the NAIA runway.
Cebu Pacific management earlier announced that all 42 passengers, including 4 crew members, of the plane were able to safely leave the plane, which came from Naga, Camarines Sur.
