Five members of a family died after their motorcycle crashed into a truck in Gimampang, Initao, Misamis Oriental, on Friday afternoon.
According to the Initao Municipal Police Station, the family was on their way home from Iligan City when their motorcycle reportedly attempted to overtake and collided with an oncoming truck.
Aside from the couple, their two sons and a daughter, who were also on the motorcycle, were killed. The victims died on the spot due to severe injuries after being dragged under the truck.
The truck driver is now in police custody as the investigation into the incident continues.
