Duterte appoints former Comelec commissioner Antonio Kho as new SC Associate Justice

THE Supreme Court (SC) confirmed today the appointment of former Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner Antonio Kho Jr. as SC Associate Justice.

According to Atty. Brian Hosaka, SC spokesperson, the high court received Kho’s appointment papers through the office of SC Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo.

Kho retired from the Comelec last February 2 together with Chairman Sheriff Abas and commissioner Rowena Guanzon.

With Kho’s appointment, the 15 SC magistrates are again complete after the retirement of Justice Rosmari Carandang.

No details were provided as to the exact date when Kho would be sworn in as the SC’s newest magistrate.
