Danao took over as new NCRPO chief

Police Brigadier General Vicente “Vic” Danao Jr. officially took over as the new acting chief of the National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO) replacing his predecessor now Chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) General Debold Sinas.

During his assumption of office on Wednesday, November 11, Danao was personally received by Sinas at a simple ceremony held at Hinirang Multi-Purpose Hall, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan in Taguig City along with Brigadier General Florencio Ortilla and Brigadier General Nolasco Bathan.

In his speech, Danao pointed out that he will continue what “Oplan Litis” had started during his stint as Calabarzon’s top cop which includes internal cleansing among erring police officers involved in corruption and illegal drug trade.

The new NCRPO chief also warns Metro Manila cops to quit their involvement in various form of corruption or feel free to leave the police force.

Danao also stressed that he will continue what the new chief PNP had started as a former NCRPO head who focuses on the neutralization of illegal drug personalities or syndicates.

Prior to the ceremony, the NCRPO personnel held a traditional departure honor for Sinas following his appointment being the 25th Chief of the PNP, after General Camilo Cascolan’s mandatory retirement came yesterday, November 10.

Together, let’s continue to walk the talk and be assured that I will support NCRPO in all your upcoming endeavors,” Sinas told the NCRPO team.
