COVID-19 update: Additional 11,028 new COVID-19 cases recorded today

The second version of the Enhanced Community Quarantine that covers Metro Manila and the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Rizal and Bulacan, the Department of Health (DOH) again reminded the public to intensify the observance of all health and safety protocols as the new number of COVID-19 cases continue to rise everyday.

Today, the number of new COVID-19 cases in the country jumped to an overall total of 795,051 with an additional 11,028 new cases recorded today, April 4, Easter Sunday.

But the good news is that there was a total of 41,205 recoveries today that hiked the total to 646,100 recoveries.

Aside from this, only Two (2) deaths from COVID-19 were recorded today to push the number of COVID-19 deaths to a 13,425 total.

Total active cases of 135,526 are still in hospital and quarantine facilities of the government.

The DOH continues to remind the public to immediately isolate themselves and coordinate with the local BHERTS the moment they feel any symptoms of COVID-19.

The public can also call the One Hospital Command Center via 0919-977-3333, 0915777-7777 or (02) 8665-0500 for immediate and necessary directions leading to the correct health facility.

For other health needs, call the Telemedicine services of local government units or any DOH partner to avoid the dangers of COVID-19 transmission.
