Community outreach program by 48IB-Army Officers Ladies Club Inc., held in Bulacan

FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija – Philippine Army Officers Ladies Club, Inc. ((PAOLCI) held a Community Outreach Program 2020 in collaboration with the 48 Infantry Battalion troops with Rev. Fr. Nap Baltazar of the Parish of Doña Remedios Trinidad for indigenous Peoples in Sitio Kamatis, Kambubuyugan, Maugat and Cabyao of Barangay Kalawakan, Bulacan on November 25, 2020.

The said outreach program aims to provide assistance to the community tribes of Dumagat who were also devastated by typhoon Ulysses just recently.

The outreach program was led by PAOLCI 2020 Adviser Mrs. Edna Sobejana distributing relief items containing three cans of sardines; five pieces of instant noodles; five assorted biscuits; and ten kilos of rice.

About 200 Dumagat indigenous families received relief items led by Chieftain Emelita Evangelista.

“Thank you to those with kind hearts who extended help and gives concern to our tribes, to Father Nap and to the 48IB who paved the way for help to reach us. I hope you wont get tired helping us. Thank you again,” said Chieftain Evangelista.

From his part, Major General Alfredo V. Rosario Jr. the commander of the 7th Infantry Division, praised the women of PAOLCI 2020 in their program that has contributed relief to the Dumagat natives affected by the calamities.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Felix Emeterio M. Valdez, Commanding Officer of 48IB, added, “You can count on our continued care of our Dumagat natives so that they can be tough against disasters and the deception of the CPP-NPA-NDF,”
