Biden eyes US economic recovery; Trump to press court action vs election results

US President-elect Joe Biden said among his new administration’s priorities is how to revive a pandemic-ravaged U.S. economy as he prepares for his new administration.

Biden will be briefed about the situation at a time that coronavirus cases in the US continue to rise. and will discuss how to rebuild the economy. Millions of jobs have been lost already as the virus has claimed more than than 245,000 American lives and shut down many businesses.

Meanwhile, the US President-elect’s scientific advisers will sit down with pharmaceutical companies developing anti COVID-19 vaccines, a top aide said.

Coronavirus cases in US passed 11 million on Sunday, a million more new cases than a week ago and the fastest increase since the pandemic began. The number of COVID-19 patients in U.S. hospitals also has reached an all-time high.

Exiting President Donald Trump, on the other hand, said he will still continue with his long-shot challenges to the election results. He continues to tweet messages, one which appeared he is accepting defeat, only to be followed up with another message saying he concedes nothing and pushed his accusations of voter fraud.

He vowed to file “big cases showing the unconstitutionality of the 2020 Election.”
