Their next teleserye to be shown soon on GMA-7 is entitled “Ang Dalawang Ikaw,” which stars Rita Daniela and Ken Chan. The show will tackle a specific topic on mental health called “dissociative identity disorder.”
The new show represents another bold move by GMA-7 to tackle another controversial, albeit a non-popular yet intellectual choice for a teleserye, after doing “My Husband’s Lover” about two closeted gays (one married to a woman) who fell for each other, “Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real,” about a man who is “maritally” involved with two women, the much earlier “Destiny Rose,” (which also stars Chan) about a man’s journey to become a successful writer and full-fledged woman, and soon “Legal Wives,” a cultural drama about the life and love of the Maranaw, and will be shown just about the same time as “Ang Dalawang Ikaw.”
But after being paired with one another before in “My Special Tatay” and “One of the Baes” and for the third time in “Ang Dalawang Ikaw,” and after numerous TV variety show appearances and photo shoots, especially the latest “pre-nup” like beach photo shoot for their upcoming teleserye that earned many “kilig” moments from netizens, the question is: “are they or are they not?”
Their beach photos to promote the show will probably say they are, but in previous interviews they’ve already said (well, not categorically) that they’re not.
Well, you be the judge.
