It seems after a slew of Filipina beauties making heads turn at international beauty pageants, today was the day where Kelley Day made many eyes fixated on her as she won the Best National Costume competition during the Miss Eco International pageant being held in South Sinai, Egypt.
Her costume, a modern take on the classic Filipina traditional dress with a Victorian inspiration and designed by Louis Pangilinan, bested the national costumes of 60 other candidates around the world.
“It was such an honor to wear this beautiful creation in the National Costume Competition of Miss Eco International,” notes Kelley in her Instagram account.
“Thank you, Miss Eco International for the recognition — this is for the Philippines,” she added.
She also thanked those who helped her in coming up with the costume.
