Foundever®, a global leader in the customer experience (CX) industry, has launched an on-site e-waste drop box initiative across its offices in the Philippines, strengthening its commitment to sustainability and responsible waste management. The program, which began in July at Foundever’s Pasig Technopoint site, aims to provide employees with accessible and environmentally sound options for disposing of electronic waste.
The initiative is led by Vice President for Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and Marketing Willy Lim, alongside Site Director Filipina Barbo. Both executives highlighted the importance of embedding sustainability into workplace culture, stressing that environmental responsibility goes beyond compliance and must involve active employee participation.
“Environmental sustainability is not just a corporate responsibility, it’s a shared commitment that extends to every member of our ever-growing Foundever family. We’ve taken our partnership further with HMR Envirocycle Philippines, our partner for IT-related waste, by providing our employees with convenient and responsible ways to dispose of electronic waste. Through this, we’re taking meaningful action toward protecting our environment while fostering a culture of sustainability within our workplace,” according to Lim.
HMR Envirocycle Philippines, a Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)-accredited e-waste recycling firm, is the company’s official partner for the initiative. Known for its expertise in processing and disposing of electronic waste, HMR Envirocycle ensures that all collected devices and components undergo proper recycling in line with national regulations and global best practices.
Paolo Olbes, Sustainability Director of HMR Envirocycle Philippines, praised the partnership and emphasized its contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. “We’re proud to partner with a sustainability-driven company like Foundever. This collaboration not only supports their commitment to national and global standards on climate action and e-waste management, but also reinforces our shared goal of reducing emissions through repair, reuse, and recycling. HMR Envirocycle fully supports the company’s science-based GHG targets with measurable emission reductions per asset,” Olbes said.
The e-waste drop boxes will accept a wide range of items, including mobile phones, laptops, tablets, batteries, and other small electronic devices. Employees are encouraged to take advantage of the program to ensure their old gadgets are responsibly processed rather than ending up in landfills.
This initiative reflects Foundever’s broader corporate social responsibility strategy, which integrates sustainability with workforce development and community engagement. By implementing eco-friendly practices at the workplace, the company not only reduces its environmental footprint but also helps raise awareness among its employees about the importance of proper waste management.
Through this program, Foundever reinforces its role as a socially responsible organization while contributing to global efforts to promote circular economy principles and mitigate the impacts of climate change.
