THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) confirmed that it has canceled the registration of the Duterte Youth party list group.
The Comelec Second Division voted 2-1 that resulted in the cancellation of the party-list group’s registration.
However, Comelec Chairman George Garcia said the group can still seek remedy to the decision since it is not yet final and they can still file a motion for reconsideration (MR) for the case to be resolved en banc.
The Duterte Youth Party-list has five days to file an appeal with the Comelec en banc.
The cancellation of registration of Duterte Youth has no effect yet on their victory in the recently concluded national and local elections last May 12, 2025, where they managed to secure three seats in the House of Representatives.
