In a proactive move to improve road safety and driving proficiency among its personnel, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), under the leadership of PCOL Melecio Buslig, Jr., successfully conducted a Theoretical and Practical Driving Course in coordination with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) from March 4 to 9, 2025, at the QCPD Headquarters.
The initiative, spearheaded by PEMS Boy Clarito Blancad, District Executive Senior Police Officer (DESPO), provided both classroom-based instruction and hands-on training to uniformed and non-uniformed personnel (NUP) to enhance their driving skills and ensure adherence to road safety regulations.
As part of the program, essential services such as motor vehicle and motorcycle registration renewal, new driver’s license issuance, and renewal of expired licenses were offered at the QCPD Gymnasium and grandstand from March 4 to 5.
The training saw strong participation, with 86 personnel completing the Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) and 130 personnel undergoing the Practical Driving Course (PDC) on March 8 and 9 at the QCPD grounds.
“This initiative reflects our commitment to equipping our personnel with essential driving skills, ensuring safer roads, and enhancing mobility for effective law enforcement operations,” said Buslig.
