Magnitude 5.1 Earthquake strikes Sultan Kudarat

A magnitude 5.1 earthquake shook Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat, early Monday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.

The earthquake, recorded at 8:19 a.m., had a depth of focus of 546 kilometers and was tectonic in origin, indicating movement along a fault line or within the Earth’s crust.
