Starting January 2, 2025, the Quezon City Government will officially deploy brand-new electric buses on Route 1 of the QCity Bus service, running between Quezon City Hall and Cubao.
Key Features of the Electric QCity Buses:
Passenger-Friendly Design: These city buses have a low-floor configuration, ensuring easier boarding and alighting for passengers while providing a more comfortable travel experience.
Capacity: Each bus offers 41 seats and additional space for a limited number of standing passengers, ensuring safety and comfort for all riders.
Unchanged Routes and Schedules: The electric buses will follow the same routes, schedules, and bus stops as the current QCity Bus service for Route 1.
To ensure smooth operations, the Traffic and Transport Management Department (TTMD) staff will assist passengers during the transition to the new electric buses.
This initiative reflects the Quezon City Government’s commitment to environmental sustainability by reducing pollution from traditional vehicles, while enhancing public transportation for its residents.
