Following last year’s successful celebration, the Quezon City Government is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated New Year’s Countdown 2024, happening on December 31, 2024, at the Quezon Memorial Circle.
This year’s event promises to be a night to remember, featuring a stellar lineup of performances from some of the country’s most celebrated artists, including Ely Buendia, Ben&Ben, Kamikazee, Gloc-9, Kean Cipriano, Noel Palomo (of Siakol) with the Repakol Band, Shamrock, The Juans, Mrld, Ryannah J., and Kenaniah.
Hosting the evening’s festivities will be Uma Rojo, MC and Lassy, Negi, and CJ Villavicencio, adding humor and energy to the night.
QCitizens are encouraged to bring their families and loved ones to experience a night filled with fun and excitement for all ages. Mayor Joy Belmonte invites everyone to join the celebration, saying, “We are inviting everyone to come and celebrate with us. It’s going to be a spectacular show as we welcome the new year together.”
The event will feature a grand fireworks display and a special drone show, making the countdown even more unforgettable.
As part of Quezon City’s commitment to sustainability, attendees are urged to bring their own reusable tumblers, as single-use plastics will be strictly prohibited. Drinking stations will be available within the venue for refilling.
To ensure the safety and smooth flow of the event, various city agencies, including the Department of Public Order and Safety, Task Force Disiplina, Traffic and Transport Management Department, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, and the Quezon City Police District, will be deployed. Personnel such as police officers, traffic enforcers, and medical teams will be on standby.
Traffic officers will be stationed at key locations around the Quezon Memorial Circle to manage the expected traffic flow and prioritize pedestrian safety. Additionally, QCity buses will provide free rides from the Quezon Memorial Circle to designated stops across eight routes, operating until 2:00 AM to accommodate attendees.
