DILG hails approval of P6.32-Trillion 2025 national budget

THE Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has expressed its gratitude and support following the approval and signing of the P6.32-trillion national budget under Republic Act No. 12116, also known as the 2025 General Appropriations Act (GAA).

In a statement, DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla highlighted the department’s significant allocation of P279.1 billion, the fourth-largest in the budget. He acknowledged President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s commitment to strengthening local governance, maintaining peace and order, and ensuring public safety.

“We extend our sincere gratitude to President Marcos for his unwavering support of our mission to build resilient, inclusive, and progressive communities across the nation,” Remulla said.

The DILG pledged to responsibly and efficiently utilize its budget to advance the administration’s prosperity agenda. Secretary Remulla assured the public that the funds would be used to address the needs and aspirations of Filipinos while fostering sustainable growth and development.

The 2025 national budget reflects the administration’s priorities in addressing pressing issues and driving long-term progress, with a focus on governance, public safety, and economic resilience.
