NCRPO Chief orders thorough probe in murder of police officer

POLICE Brig. General Anthony A. Aberin, Acting Regional Director of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), has issued firm directives to ensure a swift and impartial investigation into the murder of Police Executive Master Sgt. Emmanuel De Asis.

Aberin instructed the NCRPO Command Group to closely supervise the investigation, emphasizing the need for meticulous evidence collection and strict adherence to established procedures.

He directed Police Brig. General Bernard Yang, District Director of the Southern Police District, to guarantee that the criminal cases to be filed are solid and will lead to the conviction of the suspects.

Legal and Administrative Actions

On Friday, the Taguig City Police Station filed murder complaints with the Department of Justice. Meanwhile, Aberin ordered the NCRPO’s Regional Investigation and Detection Management Division to initiate an administrative investigation against the suspects.

The suspects have been placed under restrictive custody as mandated by PNP Memorandum Circular 2017-023.

Aberin stressed that if the evidence supports it and after due process, the suspects should be dismissed from the service while facing criminal charges.

Commitment to Justice

“There will be no stone left unturned in this investigation. The pieces of evidence are overwhelming, and I have specifically instructed concerned units to ensure the filing of airtight criminal and administrative cases against the suspects,” Aberin declared.

The NCRPO vows to pursue justice for De Asis and hold those responsible accountable, both criminally and administratively.
