SINABI ni Bureau of Immigration (BI) Commissioner Norman Tansingco na hindi dumaan sa Philippine Immigration ang pasaporte ni dating Bamban Mayor Alice Guo dahil walang immigration stamp na nakita dito.
Ayon kay Tansingco, agad naman silang nagsagawa ng pag-eksamin sa Philippine passport ng dating alkalde noong dumating ito sa bansa nitong Setyembre 6.
Ang pasaporte ni Guo na inisyu noong Setyembre 4 sa Angeles City ay nakalagay na ipinanganak ito sa Tarlac, Tarlac.
“We have reviewed the contents of her passport upon her arrival and found out that she has the same immigration stamps as her alleged sister Shiela,” ayon kay Tansingco. “No Philippine stamps were found in both passports, showing that they left the country illegally without undergoing regular immigration inspection,” dagdag pa nito.
Sinagot din ni Tansingco ang mga puna sa litrato ng kanyang mga ahente noong inaresto si Guo.
“Just like our colleagues at the NBI (National Bureau of Investigation), we believe this has been misinterpreted, as the agents were just elated having completed the operation successfully,” ayon kay Tansingco. “There is no inappropriate conduct, and no disrespect was intended. We take our work seriously and remain committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism,” sabi pa nito.
