PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte have tasked Department of Finance (DOF) Secretary Carlos Dominguez III increase the amount of “ayuda” or financial assistance to be distributed to poor families or beneficiaries of the 4 Ps or Pantawid Pamilyang PIlipino Program.
In an event tonight at the Palace, Duterte said the amount of P200 earlier announced to be given to poor families with five members is not enough.
So he ordered Dominguez, to do everything he can to be able to give at least P500 per family each month.
He said it will be up to the next administration to continue sourcing more money to be able to continue the program, but for now the P500 financial assistance should be given already.
The president’s stern advice to the beneficiaries is to not spend their money on e-sabong.
