Over 23 million individuals vaccinated against COVID-19 have not received booster doses

AROUND 71 percent or over 23.83 million individuals vaccinated against COVID-19 have yet to receive their booster doses

According to data from the Department of Health (DOH), around 33,542,115 individuals are qualified to receive booster shots as of February 20.

However, out of this number, only 9,709,375 have received booster doses, equivalent to only 28.95 percent.

The DOH reiterated that booster doses have already shown its effectiveness to prevent hospitalization and severe symptoms of COVID-19.

The agency also assured that all vaccines that were given Emergency Use Authorization by the Food and Drug Administration are safe and effetive against COVID-19.

This is why the DOH continues to urge those qualified to have themselves vaccinated with booster shots for their own protection, including that of their family and the community.
