More election gun ban violations recorded by the PNP

THE number of arrested election gun ban violators continue to increase, the police said.

Data coming from the Philippine National Police (PNP) states that as of 6 am today, February 22, 2022, the police have already arrested 1,309 election gun ban violators.

The National Capital Region (NCR) tops the list with the most number of violators, followed by Region 4-A, Region 7, Region 3 and Region 6.

The penalty for violation of the election gun ban is imprisonment of from one year to six years.

Meanwhile, the PNP said that they were able to confiscate already a total of 993 guns and 479 deadly weapons.
