Free MRT-3 rides for APORs

THE Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced that the MRT-3 will provide free rides for Authorized Persons Outside of Residence or APORs.

The free ride provision stands to benefit a total of 43,432 APORs.

To avail of the free ride, APORs are required to present a vaccination card, whether on their first or second dose, and ID showing that they are an APOR allowed to go out according to prescribed IATF guidelines.

The free ride program at the MRT-3 came a few days after the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) status was implemented in the National Capital Region (NCR) and nearby provinces.

Notwithstanding the strict health protocols to keep people from being infected by the virus, there are workers who still need to fight against the deadly virus by going to work in order to feed their families.

The government is also doing its best to give support to the working class. The initiative was initiated by DOTr Secretary Art Tugade to provide a huge help to workers during the ECQ period.

The free MRT-3 ride for APORs will last until August 20, 2021.
