COVID-19 update: More than 11k cases recorded in 2nd day straight

Only few hundreds less, the Department of Health (DOH) recorded more than 11,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 for the 2nd day straight as NCR Plus (Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Bulacan, Rizal) bubble was placed under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) status starting today.

According to COVID-19 Case Bulletin No. 394 of the Department of Health (DOH), 11,378 new COVID-19 cases were added today, which brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 876,225 ever since the pandemic started.

Through Oplan Recoveries, 267 were tagged as new recoveries to hike the total to 703,625 COVID-19 recoveries.

The number of deaths today reached 204 to bring the total number of COVID-19-related deaths to 15,149.

To date, the number of active cases in the country has reached a 157,451 total.

The DOH continues to call on the public to collectively observe all health and safety measures for their protection and to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.
