THE 15 foreign travelers who are in Palawan for leisure all tested positive of COVID-19.
The confirmation was made by the Department of Health (DOH) after it announced yesterday that two of the foreign tourists earlier tested positive after undergoing Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests.
Based on information from the DOH, 13 of the foreign nationals of still undetermined nationalities are asymptomatic, while the remaining two showed mild symptoms.
The symptoms of the two foreigners manifested on April 27-28 and both underwent RT-PCR tests on April 29-30, the DOH said.
14 of the foreign tourists are in an isolation facility while the remaining one is at a hospital.
DOH Spokesperson and Undersecretary Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire earlier said that the samples taken from the group of foreign nationals will be taken to the Philippine Genome Center for testing.
