THE Inter-Agency Task Force for the management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) today said zumba, other non-contact activities are now allowed in areas under Alert Level 2 classification.
Included as well are group activities such as non-contact exercises and sports training in fitness studios, gyms and other venues that are under Alert Level 2.
Sports that are deemed non-contact are badminton, tennis, table tennis, golf, bowling, darts, running, track and field bicycle race, rowing and others.
Also allowed by the IATF are the holding of limited face-to-face manpower training and assessment programs under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority or TESDA.
The holding of such programs are from 50 percent to 100 percent of the venue capacity, as long as minimum public health standards are observed for areas under Alert Levels 1 to 4.
However, any type of face-to-face activities are not allowed under Alert Level 5.
