Two dead in motorcycle mishap in Ermita, Manila

TWO motorcycle riders were killed when a trailer truck their motorcycle in Ermita, Manila. 

The two victims were identified as Jake Tiburania, of legal age, and a resident of 14 San Vicente St., Pineda, Pasig City, and passenger Brix Deuna Urot, also of legal age, from 0009 Sitio Udioncan Macabud Rodriguez, Rizal.

Based on a report from the Manila Police District (MPD)-Traffic Enforcement Unit, the incident happened around 3:15 a.m. today along UN Avenue corner San Marcelino St, in Manila.

The two were aboard their motorcycle and are cruising the westbound side of UN Avenue  while the trailer truck, with plate number DCQ-6565 and driven by Randy Layda Y Luzano, a resident of B10 L7 Paradahan 2 Tanza, Cavite, was cruising the southward portion of San Marcelino St.

Upon reaching the intersection of UN Avenue and San Marcelino, the front portion of the motorcycle was hit by the trailer truck that caused the victims to be thrown several meters away from the intersection that resulted in the victims’ instant death.

The driver of the trailer truck is now in police custody while the investigation on the incident is ongoing.
