THE Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) advised retailers and banks to still accept folded polymer banknotes.
Also, the BSP would like to inform the public that folded banknotes, though paper or polymer, are still allowed for circulation and should still be accepted as payment.
Because of this, retailers and banks should accept these types of notes for daily payment transactions.
The BSP released an advisory in response to concerns aired via social media about some establishments not accepting folded P1,000 polymer banknotes.
